Puppet Empire – Bringing this theatre to the 21st Century

The excellence of the Puppet Empire scene is crucial for world puppetry. Not only was the UNIMA International Puppetry Association founded here in 1929, but the theater itself was a technological bomb that inspired the world at the time of its inception.
PUP and the Realm of Puppets will try to push the scene again to the top of the stage design technology and create an environment that is attractive enough for the current viewer. The traditional techniques of puppet scenography will add more contemporary in the form of animation of space by light, sound, video and puppets with new animation elements that allow contemporary technology in the construction of figures.
You will be able to see the results of our cooperation in the newly staged production Dlouhý, Širkoký and Bystrozraký, which will be staged on the 100th anniversary of HSY’s foundation in autumn 2020.
