Turn wood into a puppet according to your imagination

As a teacher, I have always found it incredibly powerful to witness children engage in imaginative play with puppets, as they create stories and express themselves through these fascinating objects. Inspired by this, I decided to explore the world of puppetry further and sought out the expertise of Puppet University Prague. I believed that there was no better place to learn about this art form than in the epicenter of puppetry.

After organizing a trip and enrolling in a course, I had the privilege of being paired with Martin, a skilled local marionette carver. For six extraordinary days, Martin dedicated himself to assisting me in bringing to life a puppet that had long been on my mind: a Little Big Foot, symbolizing the unique identity of the Pacific Northwest. From morning till evening, Martin patiently guided me through the intricate process of carving, transforming my vision into a reality beyond my wildest imagination.

The journey was truly awe-inspiring, and the experience will forever hold a special place in my heart. Working alongside Martin was an unforgettable adventure that deepened my appreciation for the art of puppetry and left an indelible mark on my soul.
