- Introduction to puppetry
Assembling marionette (3 hours)
- Explanation of joint functionality
- Discussion about possible customization of your marionette
- Preparing the parts for assembly (sending, drilling, etc…)
- Assembling the parts into a complete and functional puppet body
Making controller & stringing (1 hour)
- Introduction to the control mechanisms for marionettes
- Assembling “Skupa type” controller
- Stringing your brand new ANYMATOR
Learning how to animate (1 hour)
- Learn to walk, run, turn the marionette’s head, fall down, dance, skate…
- Learn about frazing and advance in puppet control
- Choosing your Marionette’s character
- Rehearsing a small etude
Conclusion and Q&A (30 minutes)
- Instructors address any questions or concerns
- Discuss further resources and avenues for exploring puppetry
